Wow the month of November has flown by so fast. We have been so busy.
The first weekend John and I took the kids to an air show in Charlotte. Abbie and Samson enjoyed watching the air planes fly over head. We got go in one plane that flew during WW2. Samson loved the P-40 warhawk the front of it was painted like a sharks mouth. Abbie loved watching the parachuters jumping from one of the planes. They also did demonstartions of bombs going off. It was awesome.
The next week was the yearly Football Cheer off. Let me just say that our Old Fort Vikings were amazing!! They sparkled and shined. It is so much fun watching them cheer. It was also heart breaking to know that this is Abbie's last year with them. We by far had the best coaches Kim Combs and Shanna Parker.
Then came time to take our Youth group from Church to "Hearts on Fire" in Gatlinburg TN. It was an amazing experience. Most of the youth group had never been, some of them had never really got to feel the Holy Spirit move. We listened to two really good speakers, and had some of our kids to get Saved! While we were there we also took them shopping in Gatlinburg. For me I got the wonderous joy of driving the Church's Mini-Bus in heavey traffic.
This past weekend was Thanksgiving! It was hard not having Mammaw this year. We also got to meet our newest neice Madison Brooks for the first time. She was born on Nov 5th. We went shopping on black friday again. It was very busy. Abbie had fun at the mall. Samson slept through it. And on Saturday we finished up decorating our Christmas tree. Then we baked cookies and watched Christmas movies the rest of the night.
Looking at the calender for December it will be just as busy if not busier. But personally I'm hoping for a white Christmas so we can just relax and watch it snow.

Happy Halloween!
So it is offically Fall of the year. On October 28th Abbie went to the school's first dance of the year with one football players Dustin. She looked so cute and grown up. Her cheer coach Kim Combs took a picture of her and Dustin danceing. She was so embarassed to find out that this picture was posted to facebook. Me I thought it was funny. All in all she had a really good time at the dance. It is so hard to believe that she is in 6th grade, and almost a teenager.
Monday was Halloween. When Samson woke up that morning he was so excited and could not wait to go trick or treating. The minute Abbie got home from school he thought that it was time to get dressed for Halloween. He of course had to be a Fireman. Abbie decided to be a clown. After both kids were ready we went over to Black Mt. to see Chris at the Fire Dept. and then went trick or treating on Church St. It was decorated so neat. Some of the homes had small fire pitts so you could get warm. Most of the homes were really decked out. There was a ton of people walking the streets. Both the kids had a blast, and were tired when we left. In years past we just went to family and friends homes driving all over the county. I think in some ways this was really neat. Abbie said she really enjoyed it. Samson thought it was just awesome! So I guess we will be going back next year.

It's Fall Again!
Wow it is hard to believe that it is fall yet again? All the leaves are changing to bright beautiful colors all around us. Over the weekend the kids and I went over to Waynesville to the Apple Festival. We had never been over there to it. The kids had a wonderful time. Walking around looking at the differnt venders. I found Abbie some really pretty bracelets, and Samson a toy that pops (don't know what you wuld call it) but hey he loves it. After we left the festival we went on up the road to Barbers Orchard to get some apples. On our way back we stopped at the Ag center to go to the train show they were having. Both the kids love watching trains and playing with Samson's different train sets. After looking around there we got some lunch and went to the Airport to watch the planes. We stayed there for hours. Samson thought that he planes that were parked in front of us were "spy planes". As we sat there watching the planes take off and land a pilot walked by. Samson of course ran over to the fence and started talking to the guy, he was very quick to tell the pilot that "there is a spy plane". I was a little worried that he would tell us we had to leave. But he chated with the kids and went on. Before walking away he told Samson that it just might be a "spy plane". So little Samson was even more convenced that he was right.
On Sunday after church we went over to Black Mt. Fire Department were Uncle Chris works. They were having their yearly open house. Abbie and Samson always enjoys riding the fire trucks. Going over there is always a big hit.
Abbie's Football Cheerleading is about to wrap up. Just a few more weeks of it left. This is the last year she will be cheering for the Old Fort Vikings! It is so hard to believe she will be in Jr. High next year.

Samson's 3rd Birthday party
Samson turned 3 on March 28,2011. We waited until Saturday April 2nd to do his party. He decided the he wanted a Fire Truck Party. So Uncle Chris brought a fire truck over to the park from Marion Fire Dept. and "Sparky the fire dog". Both the fire truck and "Sparky" was a big hit. Samson was a little afraid of the truck when it was running. "Sparky" played on the slides with the kids and tried to slide down the fire pole but his head was too big. Cousin Amber had "Sparky" dancing to the cupid shuffel. We had pizza, cake, and ice cream. Samson wanted a "Sparky" pinata but we didn't bust it, just pulled the strings to open the bottom. He got lots of presents. One of his favorites is a Lighting McQueen power wheels car. He loves anything that moves and makes noise. We all laughed and had a great time. Samson had a blast at his party.

Where does time go?
Where does time go? It doesn't seem like it should be near the end of March already. The last time I was on here was sept.. I have always heard time flies when you are having fun. Guess we are having a blast. To try and catch up would take for ever. But a quick peak at our happenings.
First I will start with Abbie. She has made A-B honnor roll all year in school. She really keeps me hopping. Durring the fall she was a Cheerleader for Old Fort Vikings, in the winter she was in the Christmas play at church and took time off from sports to do Arrowhead Sound at school (which is a combo of a band and chorus class ). For this she played the Saprano recorder, alto recorder, and xylephone. Now that it is Spring time we are back on the softball field!! This of couse is my all time favorite.
Second is little wild man Samson. He is growing so much. Back in the fall when we would go for Abbie to cheer Samson would have to take his own football to play with. And he would not settle for a small football he had to have a big one. He was the cutest little lamb in the Christmas play. I could not help but laugh at him hugging the other lambs and angels. After the first of the year I started really pushing potty training. I quickly learned if I needed him to do his business to start reading a book he did not like. That worked wonders. Now that it is Spring time all he wants to do is play outside, and doesn't understand why on cold days he can't go out. Today is his 3rd Birthday. It is hard to believe that he is that old.
Third is John and I. Not much to say about us except that we stay very busy. Back at Thanksgiving instead of John bring home a turkey he brought us a Great Dane! Yep he finally found one. Apollo is a very big loveable dog that loves to eat. The kids love him. Samson enjoys laying on him and trying to ride him like a pony. During the winter was very hard John's Dad had a heart attack and had 7 bypasses in dec. For me I was busy at Chruch driving the van, running the sound system, and teaching. Now that it is Spring it will get busier. I am now working at Mustard's a couple nights a week. But I enjoy it a lot. This weekend we are having Samson's birthday party. He wanted a fire truck party. So his Uncle Chris is bring a real fire truck and " Sparky the Fire Dog" to the party. This should be a blast!Hopefully I will get Pictures uploaded of it.

Eleven Years ago!
Where does time go? As of Saturday Sept. 18th John and I will be married 11 years. I can't believe that we have been together that long. Sometimes it seems like we haven't been together that long, and others it seems like we have been together forever. Thinking back to 1999 we both have changed so much. We don't even look like we did. Sometimes I wonder why he puts up with me. But then again I guess he wonders the same about me. Eleven years have been journey, just wonder what the next eleven will be like.

The Season are Changing!
Here at my house you can tell that the seasons are starting to change. With Summer soon leaving and Fall beginning we are having trouble with our allerigies. Abbie and Samson are having a time with them. Sneezing and coughing. Thankfully tho Samson is starting to feel some better. He is getting back to his little mischiefy self. But at least he is feeling better. Abbie is doing better also the poor thing has felt so bad. I think Monday was the worst day for her. She bounces back really easy. Abbie cheers her first game of the season this saturday at 3:30. So while she is at practice today I guess Samson and I will be on the playground. At least this way he can run some of his energy off.
Over the weekend we had the Decoration at Snow Hill where my grandparents are burried, and our Burnette Family Picnic. We had a blast seeing our family. The kids played all day. After we left the cemetary we went to the fish hatchery on Armstrong to feed the fish. All the kids loved this. I have some really good pics. Then we went over to Avery County to Wayne and Pat's Camper for the Picnic. Samosn got maybe a 30 min nap on the way up there, he ran and played hard the rest of the day. Finally he passed out going home late that night. Abbie had a good time playing with Kasey and Alia, riding the golf cart and just messing around. Needless to say on the drive back home my van was so quiet. It was all I could do not to fall asleep too.
